Abnormal heart rate variability reflecting autonomic dysfunction in brainstem infarction

ObjectivesBrainstem infarctions frequently cause disturbances of cardiovascular and other autonomic functions, but the pathophysiologic mechanisms of these prognostically unfavourable complications are not well‐known.
