Pengimplementasian pengurusan pengetahuan di IPT dalam konteks penciptaan pengetahuan di FSKSM

Organisational transition towards globalization and k-economy necessitate higher learning institution to proceed with present-day changes. Today, knowledge is an added competitive advantage compared to before. Therefore it is essential for every organisation to manage its knowledge effectively and efficiently to maintain competitiveness from time to time. One of the issues to be resolved in implementation of the knowledge management concept is development of new knowledge. Therefore the objective of this project is to show how group discussion activity could contribute towards the making of new knowledge based on an identified problem domain: Identification of Factors in Determining the Number of New Student Intake to Faculty of Science Computer and Computer System, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. This project will use the Delphi technique approach adapted with Nonaka model. It is based on selected procedure modification in the technique with four main process cycles in knowledge making i.e., socialization, externalization, combination and internalization. This study will demonstrate a system developmental design approach which is object oriented using unified modelling language (UML) in order to further strengthen the adaptation of Delphi technique in development of new knowledge. Lotus Notes and Domino software was used to accomplish a competitive information management concept where it can be access no matter where the user is situated and at different time.
