The embodiment of the invention discloses a terminal unlocking method, which comprises the following steps of acquiring the current state information of a terminal and reference state information, wherein the reference state information refers to the state information of the terminal when the terminal is successfully unlocked by virtue of a first unlocking mode most recently; judging whether the change of the current state information relative to the reference state information is consistent with a preset condition or not; if the change of the current state information is consistent with the preset condition, switching the first unlocking mode to a second unlocking mode. According to the terminal unlocking method, the corresponding unlocking mode can be switched according to the state information of the terminal, and the operation experiences of a user are improved.
