Real-time-realizable Filtered-Multi-Tone (FMT) modulation for layered-FFT Nyquist WDM spectral shaping

An end-to-end FMT system, based on a novel layered FFT polyphase realization of uniform DFT filter banks, improves upon Reduced Guardband Interval (RGI) coherent OFDM, enabling highly efficient Nyquist WDM amenable to real-time FPGA/ASIC parallelization.
