It is shown how introductory courses in microprocessing can be adapted to fit differing levels of student knowledge and skills. Instructors can use a base of 8086 systems and a programming orientation to design a core curriculum for students in both electronic engineering technician and electrical/computer engineering courses. The curriculum for each of these sequences is described.<<ETX>>
