In the environment of high technology war,it has become the key problem of military information technology of how to effectively manage the situation information.Via researching on the information management technology of situation picture based on the information exchange data model,the storage,distribution and visualization technologies of the battle space situation data are analyzed.The visible element entity of situation picture information is extended,and the management method of situation picture data used for managing situation information and application is presented.At last,the feasibility and rationality of the extended model is verified.
