Methodology of prediction the rotor position of spherical permanent magnet synchronous motor

This paper has more information about how to detect rotor position of the spherical motor is designed to be driven multi-degrees of freedom. Installed the encoders at rotating shafts of the guide frame spherical motor was developed as a prototype for this study in order to analyze correctly the position of the spherical motor and is designed to perform a fine control. However, the output power density per unit volume is low due to the installed the guide frame at the stator core. Therefore a study of variety structures is conducted to eliminate the problem as the guide frame. The largest obstacle is a sensing method to determine accurately the position of new type of the spherical motor named the double air-gap spherical motor. Thus this paper is referred to in ways to detect the position of the rotor by techniques for the most effective way.
