Novel approach of antenna array with beam steering technology for microwave power transmission from SSPS system

A novel approach of antenna array with beam steering technology is addressed in this paper which can transmit microwave power from Space Solar Power Satellite (SSPS) system. Array antennas are critically important component in the development of future wireless systems with applications in communications, radar and satellite technologies. The Microwave Power Transmission (MPT) technology is a key technique for SSPS system, which is being highlighted as a technology capable of solving global environment problem as well as the energy problem. This paper presents a robust technique for MPT which is able to steer the main beam at any desired direction in the presence of array imperfections. The proposed beamforming technique is proficient to cancel the directional interferences. The simulation results show that the proposed SSPS scheme has better performance than the existing systems.
