Development of bubble cluster detection and identification method

Abstract The goal of this work is to apply a method to put in evidence the existence of bubble clusters in turbulent bubbly flow. The used metrology is a rake of resistive probes, and the associated signal processing is the pattern recognition. The whole technique is validated on a test case: the confined bubble plume. The initial geometrical form of the pattern is not a sensible parameter. This method presents a great ability to adapt itself to the content of the signal.
