Requirements Assessment for Organizations, Users, Software Developers, and Funders for the Propagation of the Holy Quran and Its Sciences

A detailed survey was designed to assess the requirements of different organizations, users, product-developers, and funders who are involved in the fields of using systems and software to serve and propagate the Holy Quran and its Sciences. The aim of the survey is to collect, compile, analyze and classify information concerning the advantages and the disadvantages of the currently available tools and software used for teaching and digital propagation of the Holy Quran and its Sciences. The paper shall also examine the potential in product-development opportunities, and product-values for enhancing IT in the service of the Holy Quran. The survey sets out to assess the needs of the different segments of who are involved in using and developing related product-software. The survey is distributed to a large number of users from four main background sectors, namely, users of software/products, software developers, funders and donators, and universities/research centers. The survey results are presented and analyzed, with conclusions drawn presenting the findings made.
