Reliable Link Multicast Routing Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks

In the applications of wireless sensor networks,multicast plays a very important role.In both military and civil domain,we usually need the multicast support.It is very hard to design an efficient multicast protocol for wireless sensor networks,because many factors have to be taken in consideration,such as the energy which is a vital factor for wireless sensor networks.Aimed at the restricted energy in wireless sensor network,a reliable link multicast routing(RLMR) protocol by finding the shortest path between two nodes is proposed in this paper.The energy of nodes and the link reliability between two nodes are considered in RLMR.Two factors are deemed as the link reliability indexes.As the more energy and nearer nodes take on more transmission tasks,the data stream route option is optimized,the energy consume of nodes is balance and the network life periods is extended.The simulation proves the validity of Reliable Link Multicast Routing protocol.The multicast in RLMR becomes more reliable.
