Numerical simulation of slope stability in combined mining

To investigate the deformation and failure of slope under surface-underground combined mining conditions,a study was conducted at Pingzhuang's Western Open-pit. Based on strength reduction method,the processes of deformation and failure of slope under combined mining was simulated with RFPA-Slope and the slope stability is analysed. The study shows that the deformation aggravates and the slope stability declines with underground mining. The result is useful in surface-underground combined mining operations.
