뉴욕의 건강도시 계획과정 및 추진체제

The purpose of this study is to suggest policy implications concerning stakeholders` activities, networking, program, and planning systems in the local plan. For that, this study reviews the case of the `Healthy City` of New York, and find the informative examples in the new development of urban environment. The case of New York city shows how the city makes urban planning advance: it invites diverse stakeholders such as professionals, administrations and local community to participate the planning process within cooperation system, and to draw up guidelines in the local plan. Most noteworthy from the case is that the partnerships set specific goals to achieve in order to resolve the health issues within the urban design and the building design. This study implies that urban development in Korea should adopt specific and cooperative processes in order to shed away from the past conventions: perfunctory participation of the civil sectors, overly comprehensive and simplified development goals, the lack of partnership among the agencies and organizations, and finally insufficient planning.
