Consumers' Perceptions of Airlines: A Correspondence Analysis Approach in a Global Airline Industry

■ There has been structural changes taking place in international airline industry. ■ Global aviation has undergone much change due to increasing liberalization of bilateral agreements, increased domestic and international competition, and privatization of airlines. ■ Specific policy implications of airline marketing such as impact on service levels, price, and distribution are highlighted. ■ Results of a survey conducted in South Central Pennsylvania on airline selection for foreign travel were presented for orderly decision making purposes by airline executives. ■ The major criteria used for survival as well as on analysis of the future of the airline industry in global markets.
