To research the motion of a bullet into the muscular tissue, the gelatin was used to simulate the muscular tissue.Based on the properties of the gelatin,a two-dimensional motion model was established for the projectile penetrating the gelatin in which reflecting the difference between attack angle and yaw angle. And the bullet motions in the horizontal and vertical directions were taken into account in the established motion model.Based on the Runge-Kutta method, the motion model was calculated by choosing the ordinary bullets with the diameters of 7.62 and 5.80 mm,respectively,as killer elements. The calculated results were compared with the corresponding experimental results.Comparisons show that the two-dimensional motion model can describe the motion of the bullets penetrating the gelatin accurately. And the motion model established is of a certain commonality and can provide a theoretical reference for the ammunition design and the wound treatment.
