The survey employed a quantitative research design using questionnaires involving 470 respondents (n=470) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Data were analysed using descriptive analysis and One-Way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The findings shows that, respondent's level of awareness toward 3R's practice is very low, there are a significant relationships between reduce, reuse and recycle. Therefore, 3R's practice awareness and newcampaign strategies should be enforced across the academic environments to achieve thewaste minimization, reduce risk of social life and achieve a waste free academic environment.
