A coupled high-resolution monochromator-Fabry-Perot system for Brillouin and Raman spectroscopy

A coupled DMDP 2000 SOPRA monochromator-Fabry-Perot interferometer has been assembled for high-resolution spectroscopy. The performance of our instrument is comparable to that of the tandem Fabry-Perot interferometer. Its advantages are that the highest resolution can be maintained for all frequency shifts larger than 0.03 cm-1 and the set-up permits absolute intensity calibration of Brillouin and Raman lines.
