The power supply control module controls the on-off of the power supply of the main control system when the time spent for a user to block the optical line corresponding to the power supply switch each time exceeds the first preset time. The invention further provides a power supply control method of the electronic device. Through the electronic device and the power supply control method provided by the invention, the power supply of the main control system can be turned on and turned off just by touching the power supply switch to reach the preset time so as to realize turn-on and turn-off, which is convenient for people to use.
