Analytic study of mode locking with a nonlinear mirror

In the steady state, a simple mode-locking equation including the gain saturation is derived for a mode-locked laser with a nonlinear mirror. Its analytic solution and mode-locking conditions are obtained. Ignoring the gain saturation, the analytic pulse width is very close to the numerical results.
