Magnetic Field Resolution of a High-Frequency Carrier-Type Thin-Film Magnetic Field Sensor.

This study reports the performance of a high-frequency carrier-type thin-film magnetic field sensor that uses impedance change at high frequencies. To obtain high resolution, we reduced environmental electromagnetic noise and used high resolution instruments. A voltage change ratio (similar to the MR ratio) of 26.7% was achieved when ac carrier frequency was 400MHz. The resolution of the sensor was dc 2 × 10-4 Oe and ac 8 × 10-5 Oe, respectively.
