A Multivariable Control and Simulation Analysis for Looper System of Hot Strip Mill

A new multivariable control method is proposed to deal with the double input and double output coupled looper control system.By building state-space model of looper control system,the control problem is viewed as double input and double output tracking problem in this study and desired performance index is achieved by closed-loop poles placing.This method is computationally simple and has clear physical concept rather than the conditional decoupling methods with complicated design process and computation.Simulation result proves that the system has good dynamic performance and stable performance as well as excellent robust stability.
