Elements of compact connected simple Lie groups with prime power order and given field of characters

In this paper we derive polynomial formulas for the number of conjugacy classes of elements of prime power orderpK (p not dividing the order of the Weyl groupW) of a compact connected simple Lie group whose character values generate a given extension of ℚ.
