Kommentierte Checkliste der Dytiscidae und Noteridae (Coleoptera) der Schweiz

A list of 115 species of Dytiscidae and 2 species of Noteridae, mostly based on revised collection material, is provided whose past or current presence in Switzerland has been confirmed or sufficiently well documented. Twenty nine species of Dytiscidae whose occurrence in Switzerland is highly unlikely are excluded from the Swiss list due to misidentifications or labelling errors. Justifications for the inclusion or exclusion in the list are detailed and comments are given for some species. Hyphydrus aubei Ganglbauer, 1892 and Stictonectes lepidus (Olivier, 1795) are recorded here for the first time from Switzerland.
