Levels of processing in appraisal : evidence from computer game generated emotions

L'objectif de ce projet a ete de tester empiriquement certaines hypotheses derivees des descriptions initiales des modeles a niveaux multiples de l'appraisal. Les experiences effectuees donnent quelques suggestions sur comment les systemes de reponse emotionnelle, plus particulierement le systeme nerveux autonome et les expressions faciales, pourraient etre influences differemment par le processus d'appraisal. De plus, les donnees indiquent que les differents appraisals seraient plus ou moins susceptibles de devenir schematises ou automatises. Meme si la premisse de base des theories d'appraisal a multiples niveaux de traitement est tres prometteuse, les modeles courants ont besoin de plus amples specifications des mechanismes qui sont a la base du declenchement des emotions, afin de permettre une elaboration d'hypotheses verifiables. Ce travail propose egalement l'incorporation des connaissances et preuves provenant des neurosciences, qui pourrait permettre une meilleure specification et une amelioration de la definition des modeles d'appraisal a multiples niveaux.
