Building Thermal Performance Simulation with Direct Evaporative Cooling by Water Spray Vaporization

This paper evaluates the performance of a computer simulation code for modeling the evaporative cooling of buildings by water spray vaporization, bringing together the scales of the droplet, spray, and building. The capability of the models to predict evaporation and building behavior was examined in a series of parametric tests. The parametric explorations served to demonstrate that the model is sufficiently consistent and responds qualitatively well to variations in input parameters.
