Performance evaluation of multi-channel RoF using radio frequency allocation

The Radio over Fiber (RoF) has been developed to transparently transfer the radio wireless signal using optical fiber link. However, RoF devices have nonlinear characteristic which generates intermodulation products. The intermodulation distortion (IMD) components interfere desired radio frequency signal, this is one of the problems in multi-channel RoF mobile backhaul. This paper proposed a radio frequency channel allocation which can avoid IMD interference. By using NS3 simulation, the result shows that the proposed algorithm can reduce the intermodulation products with better performance.
