Review of Development in Electrometallurgy in 1983

There were no papers describing new electrometallurgical plants or disclosing original processes in 1983. Many reports, however, dealt with modernization and expansion of existing facilities, and they emphasized the application of the technology which was developed during the past decade. As a result, electrometallurgical plants today are much more efficient, from the viewpoints of productivity and energy consumption, than they were only a few years ago.
