Architectures of WWW-based Information Retrieveal Systems

The architectures of information retrieval systems based on Client/Server and Browser/Server of WWW are introduced.The Client/Server architecture has the advantages with stronger interaction,security,lower and faster transfer of information.The Browser/Server architecture is developed based upon Web technology,and has the advantages with easier development and maintenance of system,friendly user interface,suiting for information publication.We propose that the Browser/Server architecture of WWW is the trend of information retrieval systems based on WWW.
