Development of Sudden Acceleration Situations Reproducible Test Vehicle for Driver Pedal Effort Analysis

This study analyzed driver behavior in case of unexpected situations that cannot be predicted by drivers such as sudden accleration or Brake system Failure. For this purpose it developed a test vehicle and a reproduction test scenario to create an unexpected situation. The vehicle and scenario were used to conduct driver‘s pedal effort analysis and the findings will be used to create a smart safety system that recognizes and responds to drivers‘ behaviors.
