Tuned motile responses of isolated cochlear outer hair cells.

We have investigated the motile responses of solitary outer hair cells obtained from different cochlear locations to variations in the stimulus frequency between 0,1 and 10,0 kHz. Here we further analyze the sharply tuned mechanism responsible for frequency selective motile properties within outer hair cells
