Operation of a CMOS microprocessor while immersed in liquid nitrogen

A microcomputer has been constructed which can be operated with the CMOS microprocessor immersed in liquid nitrogen. At the normal supply voltage, performance measurements were made at room temperature and while the device was immersed, where improvements of 72-97% were noted.
