0.5μm CMOS 622Mb·s~(-1) LVDS Driver Design

An integrated LVDS Driver is designed and fabricated in 0.5μm CMOS technology. This circuit con- sists of a single-to-differential converter, a bias circuit, a output circuit and a common-mode feedback control circuit. The driver IC occupies a die area of 0.47mm×0.35mm. Test result shows the driver’s work rate can be up to more than 622Mb.s~(-1). Under a 5V supply voltage, the DC power consumption is about 30mW, the magnitude of the differential output voltage and common-mode voltage meet the requirement of TIA/EIA-644-A standard. It can be used in LVDS transmission system.
