Graphical BCDM based on entity-relationship methods

In order to model bitemporal databases using well-known Entity-Relationship methods, and reduce the data redundancy caused by repeatedly storing temporal-irrelevant attributes, this paper will discuss the classification of objects according to temporal stability, define the temporal constant and variable ones, employ bitemporal time labels consistent with BCDM's to express temporal data, and describe entities, attributes, and relationships from the viewpoint of temporal stability. Then a new model, named ER-BCDM is presented, its graphical elements, and rules about constructing and transforming to BCDM are given as well.
