A proposal: Dynamic RAMs as particle detectors

Abstract Dynamic RAMs can be used as α-particle detectors. They have low cost, can be directly interfaced with computers or microprocessors, and allow very high localization in space (⋍10 μm) with a time resolution of 1–5000 μs, according to the operation mode.
