419,975. Vehicle windows; draughtexcluders. MORRISON, W. L., 1923, Carroll Avenue, Chicago, U.S.A. Aug. 28, 1933, No. 23847. Convention date, Aug. 31, 1932. [Class 20 (iii).] An automobile door 1 or side portion of an automobile body has in its upper part windows 3, 4 pivotally mounted on vertical axes so as to act when necessary as air deflectors. The windows preferably comprise sheets 3 , 4 , Fig. 4, of celluloid or other non-brittle or non- friable material inserted between glass sheets 3 , 3b and 4 , 4b, projecting edges 3d, 4d of the sheets 3 , 4 abutting to form a water-tight joint when the windows are closed. In a modified form, one of the glass sheets of each window is extended to cover the projecting edge of the inserted sheet. The windows may be locked in the closed position by pivoted locking members which prevent outward movement, inward movement being prevented by the windowframe. Specification 419,772 is referred to.
