Serial and parallel concatenated differential space-time coding

We propose two types of turbo differential space-time coding, namely serial and parallel concatenated structures. In serial structure, a convolutional encoder is followed by a differential space-time encoder, while in parallel structure, two identical differential space-time encoders are concatenated in parallel. The encoding and iterative decoding process is thoroughly studied, and the improved performance at low SNR is demonstrated and compared via simulations.
