This memorandum reports on the first workshop of the ISCO 4 conference which had the “Conceptual Foundations of Information Systems” as its topic. A total of nine contributions of workshop participants addressed the general FRISCO goals, scope and position in the scientific world. In particular, it comprised a thorough review of the FRISCO report, including its target groups, purpose, line of reasoning, structure and particular concept definitions. The last section addresses the future of FRISCO including concrete suggestions for a possible revision of the report.
