Generally speaking, the vehicle dynamics performance is mainly governed by some trade-off relations. Especially, ride and handling performance should be handled based on this consideration. In case of the driving straight, the driver wants a smooth ride without left hand side and right hand side connection. Otherwise, when the car is in cornering, the vehicle has to have acceptable body roll with respect to the lateral acceleration. For the case, roll stiffness acts as vehicle parameters and could be a control factor for each case, if necessary. In this paper, we studied the vehicle level performance with passive stabilizer bar, and then we showed a proposal of ARC system control strategies. The strategies for Active Roll Control Stabilizer Bar System Control had developed with a reliable simulation environment for design and Benchmarking vehicle test. This research arranged the ARC functionality and performance limits using by vehicle dynamic simulation environment and Benchmarking vehicle test. And we had executed the vehicle test which is built-in proto-ARC system. The proto-ARC system had been applied on target SUV vehicle. This experimental data from the vehicle would be brought into series production prove the performance of the ARC system. Finally, we would like to show the improvement of vehicle dynamics properties using Active Roll Control Stabilizer Bar system.
