Nowadays, training for assembly and disassembly or maintenance for new users, engineers or technicians in acquiring new skills is very important for various industries. Nevertheless, training those users to efficiently perform new skills has become challenging. Virtual Reality (VR) systemintegrated with haptic feedback as device interaction is seen as a powerful tool in developing and implementing more natural and intuitive interface which improved the training experience (improved user skill) in assemble, maintain and repair complex machinery and production facilities. This study discusses on the ongoing project on development of a VR training system for an assembly process. Valve system was design in CATIA and import to wrl file for parts manipulation in VR system. From this experiment, the VR system will be evaluated and analyzed in order to find out the effectiveness of adopting this system. The expected outcome of this research was that VR training with haptic feedback will provide better results compared to Control group (without VR training). The combination of learning method using AR system and training method using VR system also yield better results compared to the VR group. As a conclusion, thiscombination of learning and training in AR VR groupshould enhance users in mastering the valve assembly procedure and maximize their skill performance as well.
