The Development of a Navy Performance Evaluation Test for Environmental Research (PETER).

Abstract : The basic problem with performance testing in exotic environments is the general unwillingness of investigators to take the time to standardize a test battery. Many other problems exist and are obvious to all who have tried to measure performance under usual and unusual environmental conditions. It is the purpose of this paper to set forth some of the problems that have grown out of our experiences and which we feel have not been extensively commented upon in the research literature, and also to describe our plan for solution.
