Theoretical Summary on Non-gyro Inertial Measurement Unit

Non-gyro inertial measurement unit (NGIMU) uses accelerometers instead of gyroscopes to compute the motion of a moving body. Using the domestic and the international research achievements for reference, the origin and current status of NGIMU are summarized. In addition, many kinds of accelerometer-configurations are analyzed, and then the advantages and the disadvantages of each mathematic model are reviewed, and the future research is expected.
