Video quality assessment approach with field programmable gate arrays

This paper presents a system for real-time non-reference video quality measurement on FPGA based platform. Artifacts coming from block based compression algorithms and broadcasting artifacts are considered. System is capable for capturing live video, extracting video quality indicators and providing results to PC application running on remote PC workstation.
