2D and 3D medical image database design

images are widely used in hospitals as a diagnostic and training tool. Doctors are trained in the interpretation of medical images. A hospital has to create and store these images for them to access. Currently, these images are mainly conventional film and paper records. However, as more and more hospital equipment and infrastructure become digital, more 2D and 3D images become available. The large number of images in hospital motivate us to develop an application that helps the medical professionals keep 2D and 3D imaging data of their patients organized in a database, and allows them to view these images using an image viewer of their choice.
