The author is a reading specialist at Rhode Island Junior College. The reading program he is helping to develop there relates well to his continuing interest in teaching and studying reading in the content areas, an interest keyed primarily to the junior college level at present. | In recent years much emphasis has been placed on Integrating reading skills in content areas at the secondary level.
