Modelling Injection Valves from 3D to Real Time

Abstract The increasing complexity of fuel injection systems has to be accompanied by modern design techniques, which allow to prototype and test in a virtual environment not only single components, but also their interaction with foreign domains. Nowadays, the design process results in a collection of models at different levels of abstraction, for specific physical domains. However, it still can not be considered as a virtual design process in which information flows between different levels of abstraction, and different physical domains. In this paper, a pragmatic approach to support the flow of information between non-linear models during the design process is given and the problem of multi-domain modelling is addressed.
