Capturing playfulness in the design of digital learning environments for adults

The present report is one of the results from the pre-study “Leksaker blir larsaker”, completed in March 2003. It is complemented by the report “Lekfullt larande: Spel och simuleringar i larandesyfte (Playful learning: Games and simulations with a learning objective)” (Harvard, 2003), including interviews with people having practical experience from play-related design of learning environments. These two reports form the basis of an application for the project PlayDesign,. The project group includes Asa Harvard, Narrativity, Interactive Institute; Cecilia Katzeff, Share, Interactive Institute; and Staffan Selander, The Stockholm Institute of Education.
