Color correction for multi-camera system by using correspondences

We have been developing FTV (Free viewpoint TV), which uses multi-camera system [Tanimoto 2004]. This system was the world’s first real time system transmitting whole 3-D image data based on Ray-Space theory. It was proposed to the MPEG meeting, and triggered discussion on multi-view video coding. Generally speaking, multi-camera systems for IBR, such as FTV, need geometric camera calibration and color correction between cameras at the first stage.
