A Relay Selection Scheme of Cooperative Multicast with Request Frame

The power consumption is a critical problem in cooperative multicast. In this paper, we proposed a relay selection scheme for achieving energy efficiency. A request frame was inserted between the stage I and stage II downlink bursts, by which the unnecessary successful users was excluded for relay in stage II. It is show by simulations that compare with previous cooperative multicast scheme, the proposed relay selection scheme reduces the number of relay and power consumption without scarify throughput performance.
