The multi-dimensional data processing method comprising the following steps of obtaining dimension information of data businesses, attribute information in dimension information and hierarchical relationship information of attributes; obtaining finest granularity attribute of the dimensions according to the dimension information, the attribute information in the dimension information and the hierarchical relationship information of the attributes; forming into a top layer attribute combination according to the finest attribute combination; generating recursion topology according to the top layer attribute combination and the hierarchical relationship information of the attributes, wherein the recursion topology comprises attribute combinations and recursion paths between the attribute combinations; receiving an inquiry requirement and inquiring the index data which is corresponding to the attribute combinations in the inquiry requirement in a recursive mode according to the recursion paths and the index data which is corresponding to the attribute combinations which are obtained in advance. The multi-dimensional data processing method and device is applicable to multi-dimension data analysis.
