Classification of Acceleration Plethysmogram Using Self-Organizing Map

The purpose of this research is to develop a diagnosis assistance system with a light load to the testee. This system uses fingertip acceleration plethysmogram that can be measured in a short time and reproduces the diagnosis by using self-organizing map "SOM". A new wave adjustment method of the pulse is introduced to make the classification more useful and visible than conventional. As a result a compact, first and easy to use device that measures acceleration plethysmogram has been developed. Classification and visualization by SOM offers a similar diagnosis that usually a physician gives from his knowledge and experience.
